EBWH Resource Roundup: Foodie Edition
Because eating 'healthy' can be delicious with the right recipe!
As we end August and National Wellness Month, I want to remind us to continue prioritizing our self-care as we walk into the Fall. Now, I don’t just mean bubble baths and more passport stamps—although if that’s what you’re into, I love it! 😉
Instead, I want to focus on an aspect of wellness that is often not discussed, especially in the Black community.
That’s eating nourishing food that we actually love. I mean the food that we drive and fly home for the holidays to enjoy. The food that, when we just get a quick whiff of it, brings back memories of our childhood and makes us feel safe and taken care of.
Even though food is not technically a “love language,” it’s unapologetically my love language. When I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and Sjögren’s syndrome, I intentionally sought out recipes that would be nutrient-dense. However, what I wasn’t willing to do was to eat “struggle chicken broccoli,” which is why finding food bloggers who know how to cook with soul was a non-negotiable.
Now, I want to introduce you to the food bloggers I’ve grown to know and love, who share delicious recipes that are incredibly nutrient-dense.
